Purchase How do I buy a box?
You choose a box, Classic or Prestige, and we ship one freshly made composition every month end, around the 23rd.
Purchase Can I give the box as a gift?
Yes. You can purchase the box as a gift and have it shipped directly to the recipient. At checkout, simply enter their address as the shipping address.
Freshness How fresh are the sweets when they arrive?
Every box is hand-formed in our Kyoto vendors. Because wagashi are made to be enjoyed soon after they are crafted, we recommend savouring them within a few days of arrival for the best texture and flavour.
Freshness Do I need to refrigerate the box?
No refrigeration is required. Keep the box in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and enjoy the sweets within a few days of delivery. Each box includes guidance on the ideal way to store and enjoy that month’s selection.
Shipping Where do you ship?
We ship worldwide to over 60 countries, with the express shipping included in the price of every box.
Shipping How much is shipping?
Standard insured shipping is always free of charge. You may choose to pay a small fee for express worldwide delivery.
Shipping How long does delivery take?
Estimated delivery times are: Japan, 2–5 business days; East Asia & Oceania, 6–9 business days; North America & Europe, 8–12 business days; rest of the world, 8–12 business days.
Allergens Are the sweets vegan / vegetarian?
Many of our wagashi are plant-based, as traditional Japanese sweets are often built on red bean (anko), rice, and seasonal fruit. However, some items may contain egg or dairy. Each box lists its ingredients, and if you have specific dietary needs please contact us before subscribing.
Allergens Do they contain gluten?
Some sweets may contain wheat or be produced in a facility that also handles gluten, so we cannot guarantee a fully gluten-free box. A full ingredient and allergen list is included with every box; if you have a serious allergy, please reach out to us before ordering.
Returns What if my box arrives damaged?
We’re sorry if your box doesn’t arrive in perfect condition. Because the sweets are perishable, please email us a photo within 48 hours of delivery and we’ll arrange a replacement or refund for the affected items.
